Equity in Education 101: Allyship

February 10, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Education in Equity 101 – A webinar series focused on learning about and unpacking concepts in equity and inclusion in higher education. Each of these 60 minute introductory sessions will provide you with a foundational understanding of a topic and its impact in teaching and learning spaces.
What does it mean to be an ally? How can you integrate concepts and values of allyship into your teaching and learning contexts? Allyship is an active commitment to call out and disrupt the ways in which power and privilege function in our everyday lives, including systems of higher education, to marginalize and oppress individuals and groups. Sign up for Equity in Education 101: Allyship to engage in a conversation with your colleagues about what authentic allyship might look like within our teaching and learning spaces and why it is of critical importance for the success of our teaching experiences.
