Rubrics can be a powerful tool for effective and efficient communication around assessments to students. In this virtual session we will explore rubric options and best practices. Focus will be on rubric design that allows it to be a tool that informs and motivates students at the start of an assessment, and an aid in the provision of specific and timely feedback after the assignment. Considerations for Universal Design for Learning and Artificial Intelligence will also be discussed.
