With recent escalated picketing activities and rallies by striking OPSEU full-time support staff at other colleges in Ontario, we want to remind students and non-striking employees to continue to prepare for delays and disruptions at our campus entrances, to watch for regular updates on college operations, and to always check college communications channels before travelling to campus.

Niagara College continues to monitor this situation closely and we will provide as much advance notice as possible for any changes to college operations.

Important reminders for travelling to campus:

  • Allow extra time and expect delays
  • Where possible, use public transit or carpool
  • Be patient and respectful when crossing the picket line
  • Students will not be penalized for arriving late to class due to picket delays
  • If you experience behaviour at the picket line that feels intimidating or makes you feel unsafe, please contact Campus Security at (905) 735-2211 ext. 6999
