Smoking and Cannabis Use On-Campus
We are dedicated to providing an environment that promotes mutual respect and supports the health and well being of students, staff and visitors while ensuring compliance with provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
We have a comprehensive policy titled Tobacco, Cannabis and Smoking.
This policy requires that the use of tobacco and cannabis products on campus be limited to Designated Smoking Areas (DSAs). Niagara College’s policy for the use of tobacco on campus is in compliance with the Province of Ontario’s Smoke Free Ontario Act.
Where can I smoke on-campus?
Smoking (both cannabis and cigarettes) is permitted in our sheltered, well-ventilated Designated Smoking Areas (DSAs) on campus.
Designated Smoking Areas are marked on campus maps with the
icon.
Please download NCSAC’s Blunt Facts handout (PDF) to learn more about cannabis use and harm prevention.
