Forensic Psychology
Forensic psychology is the application of psychological knowledge to the legal system. You will learn about the work that forensic psychologists do; the selection, training, and evaluation of police officers; how confessions are elicited; criminal profiling; deception detection; the reliability of eyewitness testimony; how jurors are selected and juries make decisions; the determination of insanity in the criminal justice system; and issues surrounding sentencing and parole, psychopathy, domestic violence, sexual assault, and the sexual abuse of children.
