On July 29, the Thorold News shared a release from the St. Kevin’s Catholic Church announcing the 2020 scholarship recipients of Soup’s On!, an annual fundraiser hosted by the parish’s justice social committee in support of local high school students heading into post-secondary studies.
The event features a sampling of soups prepared by Niagara College and culinary students from local high schools. Soup’s On! 2020 was held in January with proceeds supporting $1,000 scholarships for the following students: Ella DiFlavio from Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School, Susan Santillan from Lakeshore Catholic High School and Mikayla Guarasci from Notre Dame College School.
