The Niagara Dailies shared news of Niagara College’s new Peer Wellness Program, launched in February 2020. The student-to-student-focused program aims to spark dialogue about mental health and the common challenges that students face.

Offered at both the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake and at the Welland campus in a dedicated Wellness Lounge, the program is a partnership between NCSAC and Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services.

Wellness peer coordinator, Angela Arsenio, NCSAC president Tom Price, and NC students provide commentary in the piece. A two-year pilot project, the Peer Wellness program is receiving funding from Wise Guys Charity Fund and NCSAC.
