BPSN released an Oct. 6 Niagara College sports report, including highlights from the Knights men’s and women’s soccer teams, OCAA Golf Championships and Athletes of the Week.
Top highlights include:
- The Knights men’s soccer team remained undefeated in OCAA play with a 2-0 victory over Conestoga and a 2-1 win over St. Clair. Miguel Martin scored in both matches, while goalkeepers Kyle Thornborrow and David Norfolk helped secure the wins.
- The Knights women’s soccer team earned a 2-1 victory over Conestoga Tessa Vahrmeyer’s goal was the 22nd of her career, making her the all-time leading goal scorer in program history.
- Niagara’s men’s golf team placed sixth at the OCAA Championships, led by Spencer Main, who finished 12th individually.
- Golfers Spencer Main and Hazel Templeman were named NC’s Athletes of the Week for their performances at the OCAA Championships.
