As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Niagara College is partnering with Birchway Niagara, Gillian’s Place, and CFUW Welland and District to present a 1.5-hour interactive workshop exploring the manosphere, gender-based stereotypes, and their connections to gender-based violence.

The workshop will introduce participants to the manosphere and examine how online content and messaging can shape attitudes about gender, relationships, consent, and violence. Participants will explore how harmful gender norms and beliefs can contribute to gender-based violence, while also discussing opportunities to challenge these messages, promote healthy relationships, and build safer, more respectful communities.

The session is designed to encourage open discussion, critical thinking, and meaningful reflection, with a focus on prevention and practical strategies for recognizing and challenging harmful attitudes and behaviours.
