Vernon Matters reported that Niagara College and Okanagan College have partnered to expand wine education across Canada’s leading wine regions. Under the agreement, NC’s Winery and Viticulture curriculum will be adapted for the Okanagan, offering students training for careers in winemaking, vineyard management, winery operations, and lab-based roles tailored to the region.
The collaboration, signed this week at NC, also sets the stage for joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and shared academic events. The program is expected to begin at Okanagan College’s Centre for Food, Wine and Tourism in Kelowna in fall 2027.
