On March 20, Education News Canada reported that Okanagan College and Niagara College have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance wine education in Canada’s top wine and agricultural regions.
The agreement, finalized this week at NC’s Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake, will allow Okanagan College to offer NC’s Winery and Viticulture curriculum in a version adapted for the Okanagan Valley. The program will give students in British Columbia access to a proven wine education pathway, preparing them for careers as winemakers, cellar technicians, vineyard managers, and other roles in Canada’s growing wine industry.
