Kim Ann Laush will join NC as the new Associate Dean, School of Community Services, effective January 5, 2026.

A message from Jackie Frail, Dean, Community Services, Justice and Fitness

I am pleased to announce that Kim Ann Laush has been appointed Associate Dean of Niagara College’s School of Community Services, effective January 5, 2025.

Kim Ann brings more than 22 years of experience in higher education, where she has served in a variety of academic and leadership roles, including Faculty/Coordinator in Educational Support and Child and Youth Care, and as Associate Dean of Community Studies at Mohawk College.

Her academic credentials include a three-year advanced diploma in Child and Youth Work; a BA in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo; a BEd from York University; a Master of Education from Nipissing University; and a Doctorate of Leadership in Higher Education from Western University.

Before entering higher education, Kim Ann worked extensively in the community and social services sector, including roles in children’s mental health, youth detention and custody, and teaching positions with both the Grand Erie District School Board and Waterloo Region District School Board. She continues to remain active in teaching across both college and university programs.

Kim Ann is deeply committed to community engagement and currently serves as the Vice Chair of Brant Community Health Care System; Vice Chair of Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services; Chair of the Child and Family Services of Grand Erie Foundation; and board member at Brantwood Community Services. Her past service includes leadership roles with the Child and Youth Care Educational Accreditation Board of Canada, Crime Stoppers, and the Lynwood Charlton Centre.
