Niagara College is proud to support Learn Canadian, a sector-led global campaign launched this fall to reposition Canada as one of the world’s leading destinations for international education.
The initiative, developed by the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) — the national voice advancing Canadian international education — responds to recent policy changes and shifting perceptions about what studying in Canada represents today.
Supporting Learn Canadian advances Niagara College’s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan, reinforcing its Global Reach and its role as a leading global college that engages, celebrates, and connects diverse cultures to prepare world-ready graduates.
“Niagara College is proud to contribute to a unified national message that reaffirms Canada as a welcoming and supportive place for learners from around the world,” said President Sean Kennedy, who serves as Chair of the CBIE Board of Directors. “The campaign reflects the strengths we champion every day at NC: academic excellence, vibrant communities, and a deep commitment to international student success. We are pleased to help shape this shared vision for the future of international education in Canada.”
The campaign emerged from CBIE’s National Dialogue on International Education in May 2024, which brought together more than 225 organizations to chart a sustainable path for Canada’s international education sector.
The Learn Canadian brand aims to inspire students worldwide to choose Canada as a place to learn, grow, and thrive, providing them with the knowledge, values, and experiences needed to succeed as global citizens.
The campaign highlights Canada’s globally recognized institutions, diverse learning pathways, and a strong commitment to safety, inclusion, and innovation. It reinforces that international students benefit from Canada’s educational landscape while also playing a vital role in shaping the country’s future.
Niagara College’s support for Learn Canadian underscores its leadership at the national level in international education.
