Reporter Cadeem Lalor profiled Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management student Ken Mann in a feature published in the Niagara Falls Review. The story was also syndicated to the St. Catharines Standard, Welland Tribune and the Hamilton Spectator.

The article centres on Mann’s career transformation after 30 years in broadcast journalism and his decision to enrol at Niagara College in September 2024–returning to the Teaching Brewery he first reported on in 2011. Mann shares how the creativity and craftsmanship of brewing inspired his shift into the industry.

The coverage also highlights Project Brew, the program’s signature capstone event, where Mann and his classmates will debut 15 student-crafted beers. Mann will present Around the Campfire, a porter he developed as part of the culminating project.

The feature includes comments from program professor and developer Jonathan Downing, who reflects on the Teaching Brewery’s growth, award-winning track record, and the diverse backgrounds of more than 550 graduates.
