YourTV aired a segment on Gillian’s Place’s Wrapped in Courage Pancake Breakfast, held November 3 at Market Square in downtown St. Catharines. The annual event supports Woman Abuse Prevention Month, raising awareness about the nature of abuse and violence, and recognizing that violence continues to be the greatest gender inequality issue facing women.
NC has been a longtime supporter of the initiative, with members of the School of Culinary Arts, Community Relations and Events team, and student volunteers serving pancakes, sausages, and coffee to attendees.
In the segment, Gord Arbeau, NC’s Vice President of Advancement, spoke about the College’s decade-long involvement:
“This is a vitally important service that Gillian’s Place offers to the community and we’re very proud for the past ten years to support this worthwhile initiative by providing breakfast to anyone who might want to support Gillian’s Place.”
