A message from Fiona Allan, Vice President, Academic:

I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Jackie Frail as Niagara College’s new Dean of Community Services, Justice and Fitness, effective December 2025.

Jackie is a highly respected leader within our College community, poised to bring a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years of combined industry and post-secondary experience to this new role. She has been serving as Associate Dean in the School of Community Services since 2022, working alongside our current Dean, Carol Phillips, who will be retiring in December.

Since starting her journey at Niagara College in 2014 as a Professor in the Recreation Therapy program, Jackie has made a profound mark. She has led innovative projects that significantly advanced student learning and community engagement. Jackie has also been a dedicated contributor to the College’s academic governance.
Committed to giving back, Jackie also serves as a valued board member for several vital organizations, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Niagara, Tomorrow’s Voices, and Therapeutic Recreation Ontario.

Academically, Jackie holds a Bachelor of Recreation & Leisure Studies and a Master of Education in Post-Secondary Studies. She is currently a PhD candidate in Higher Education Administration, a true testament to her dedication to lifelong learning and scholarship.
