On April 6, Capital Current reported that NC alumnus and Canadian Museum of Nature mineralogist and photographer Michael Bainbridge (Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film, 2000) was recently awarded the prestigious Carnegie Mineralogical Award for his striking photographs of geological specimens at the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in Arizona — the largest event of its kind in the world.
