On March 18, CKTB Afternoon Drive host Walter Sendzik spoke with NC’s Vice President, Advancement Gord Arbeau about the College’s partnership with Asahi Kasei.

The Japanese-based company is building a lithium-ion battery separator plant in Port Colborne – the first in North America – that will bring highly skilled, well-paying jobs to the Niagara region and is leasing office space at NC’s Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre while the facility is being constructed.

With Asahi Kasei as part of its campus, NC will provide access to the expertise of its Research & Innovation division, faculty, staff, and specialized labs in Engineering Technology and Trades programs to ensure that students and graduates are prepared for rewarding careers at the new Port Colborne facility.
