BPSN released a profile on NC Fitness and Health Promotion student and Knights basketball player Janee Harrison who recently capped her basketball career at NC with impressive personal accolades.
The 21-year-old St. Catharines native was named a Canadian Colleges Athletic Association All-Canadian and an Ontario Colleges Athletic Association West Division First-Team All-Star after leading NC in points per game and finishing fifth in the OCAA in steals and eighth in rebounding.
Harrison is quoted in the article:
“I wasn’t really expecting it. It was a bit of a surprise but it felt really good when I saw it…I really focused on developing my game inside the paint and driving more. I was getting to the foul line a lot more and defensively I was contributing a lot more with rebounds and steals and stuff like that. I know all-star awards are based on stats and I had higher overall stats compared to last year.”
