Digital Journal released a January 31 article on a new national network aimed at positioning Canada as a global leader in agri-food innovation. Sustainable Food Systems for Canada (SF4C), is led by the University of Guelph in collaboration with 13 post-secondary institutions across the country, including Niagara College.

Dr. Amy Proulx, Professor and Academic Program Coordinator for NC’s Culinary Innovation and Food Technology program is quoted in article emphasizing that while collaboration is an important piece of the puzzle, education plays a key role in turning agri-food innovation into real-world solutions: “Innovation is a skill, and therefore it’s something we can teach and learn. Microcredentials are a practical way to meet these learning needs, by making learning accessible through both formal education and non-traditional learning.”
