Reminder: Professional development opportunities this fall

The Centre for Organizational Excellence (COE) is offering several professional development opportunities this Fall semester.

Here is a glimpse into the fall sessions for all employees:

Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP): Wednesday, October 9, Virtual, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m..

  • Learn about the support that is offered through the EFAP.

Office Ergonomics: Tuesday, October 15, Virtual, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m..

  • Learn about proper office set-up and body mechanics in order to reduce the risk of developing Musculoskeletal Disorders.

Mental Health First Aid: Monday, November 4 & Tuesday, November 5, In Person, DJP, N018, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note: You must attend both days.

  • Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems and how to refer people to appropriate supports.

Lunch & Learn: Prioritization & Time Management: Wednesday, November 20, Virtual, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Learn how to effectively manage your time and prioritize tasks, enhance your productivity, reduce stress, and achieve your goals more efficiently.

Fierce Conversations: Foundations, Feedback & ConfrontWednesday, December 4, In Person, DJP, N018, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..

  • Learn how to create a culture of healthy, transparent, and honest communication.

The COE is also offering professional development sessions specifically designed for People Leaders:

Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP): Thursday, October 10, Virtual, 1 to 2 p.m.

  • Learn about the support that is available to people leaders through the EFAP

Managing in a Unionized Environment: Monday, December 9, In Person, DJP, N018, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Learn more about the dynamics of managing in a unionized work environment.
