Niagara College’s Institute for Global Education & Training is calling all Niagara College staff and faculty with expertise in greening, agro-food processing, and food safety and management.
In collaboration with the College of North Atlantic, Niagara College’s Institute for Global Education & Training is working on developing and delivering virtual guest lectures for short courses as part of the Skills to Access a Green Economy (SAGE-05) project in Jamaica. Experts will support in developing and delivering a guest lecture for each of the short course offerings at The Moneague College, one of the two partner institutions in Jamaica, including:
- Basic Concepts of Greening
- Food Safety and Management Practices
- Fundamentals of Agro-Food Processing
To be part of the project, Niagara College’s Institute for Global Education & Training is looking for experts in the following areas that have experience in online training development and delivery:
- Greening
- Food Safety and Management
- Fundamentals of Agro-Food Processing
The scope of work involves the development and delivery of a two-hour virtual guest lecture that will support the learning outcomes of each of the three short courses and will include consultation with The Moneague College. Guest lecturers will introduce the Canadian/global perspectives, share best practices and facilitate in-depth knowledge exchange in specific areas. Each of the guest lectures will be recorded and uploaded to The Moneague College’s Learning Management System for the supplemental resource (guest lecture) library.
Niagara College’s Institute for Global Education & Training will assist the expert(s) selected for this opportunity by providing information about the project, connecting with key stakeholders at The Moneague College, and offering support during the development and delivery of the short courses as needed.

About the SAGE Program
Funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented by Colleges and Institutes Canada, the SAGE Program aims to increase the capacity of local training institutions to deliver gender-sensitive skills training programs that meet economic and environmental needs in the region, by leveraging the expertise of Canadian colleges and institutes. It also supports demand-driven Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across key economic sectors associated with green skills and climate change in the Caribbean. In partnership with College of the North Atlantic (CNA), NC is working with Moneague College and Ebony Park Academy (HEART Trust NTA) on the SAGE-05 project, which focuses on agro-food processing in Jamaica.
