The three Niagara dailies (Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) announced that NC is passing the clipboard and coach’s whistle from one Niagara River Lion to another as it prepares to build on the provincial bronze medal it won in women’s basketball.
Kimbal Mackenzie is taking over the program as interim head coach after captaining the River Lions and is taking over for Coach Chris Rao, who is leaving to become the women’s head coach at Cape Breton University in Sydney, N.S., on an interim basis.
