A message from Craig Youdale, Dean, Culinary, Tourism and Beverage Studies:
I am thrilled to officially welcome our new Associate Dean of Hospitality and Tourism, Caroline Chabert Delio, to Niagara College.
Caroline is joining us from Nice, France, and will be making the Niagara Region her new home. She brings an impressive array of education and experience that will be a welcome addition to our Hospitality & Tourism team as well as our entire division.
Caroline holds a Degree in Hotel Trade from Lycée Hotelier Jeanne et Paul Augier and a bachelor’s degree in Events Management and Hotel Trade from UIT in Cannes. She further enhanced her education with a master’s degree in marketing and Strategy with Honours from the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises (IAE) de Nice. More recently, she completed a Doctorate in Business Administration, focusing her dissertation on Traveler’s Attitudes using Big Data Mining with Airbnb.
Her professional experience is diverse, with a strong focus on Events Management before transitioning into education. Caroline has worked with notable organizations including Toyota, UBS, Nissan, and Statoil, and has organized travel for major sports events such as the Europa League (Chelsea, Newcastle) in France.
In her educational career, Caroline has served as an adjunct professor on tourism marketing in Nice and China. She has held various contract and leadership roles, including Program Director for the Bachelor of Business Administration with the IPAG Group in Nice, France. She later became the Head of the International Office, leading the third year of the Masters in Management program, and teaching classes in Marketing and Tourism, Digital Marketing, and Hospitality and Events Management.
Caroline currently serves as the Head of International Dual Degrees and the COIL Program at the IPAG Business School, while continuing to teach.
Caroline will be arriving in Canada in mid-August and will start at NC on September 3, just in time to greet her first group of new students.
