An April 18 YourTV segment showcased Niagara College’s 2024 Renaissance Gala held at the Fallsview Casino Resort on April 6.
President Sean Kennedy is featured in the segment commenting on how funds raised from the Gala support student success and ensure students are “job ready” after study
“These extra funds help enable our commitment to being an accessible institution providing support to students who have the ability to come to NC but not the financial means,” said Kennedy. “It also raises money for us to be able to purchase state-of-the-art equipment…and that means we are able to train on the latest equipment so that when our graduates hit the job market they are ‘Monday morning ready’ and ready to hit the ground running.
NCSAC President Dipal Patel and Vice President, Advancement Gord Arbeau were also interviewed in the segment.
Arbeau highlighted the significance of this year’s event: “This is our thirty-second annual gala for Niagara College. It will be a record-breaking evening, we will raise more money tonight than we have in any of the other galas, we have more guests participating, we’ll fund more student scholarships tonight than in past years, so we are really excited for the community to come back together…”
