Community Voices is a bi-monthly blog that will keep our community up to date on EDI initiatives across the college. These bi-monthly features will give readers a detailed look into days of significance, learning resources, activities, tools, and projects of various teams across the college working to make a more accessible, equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus for our Niagara College Community.

The blog will feature voices from across our NC community and, occasionally, from community partners across the Niagara Region, with the goal of creating greater awareness of the work to increase equity, diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility within the college and across the region as well as ways people can get involved.

“We believe the Community Voices Blog will be a great way for us to engage with the wider Niagara College community, highlight the various learning opportunities that they can access to further their understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, and provide a space to amplify the voices and efforts of the amazing people supporting this work at NC and across the Niagara Region.” – Samah Sabra & Brooke Pasco

Check out the first blog post focused on Brightspace Accessibility Features written by Whit Ross, Associate Director, Educational Development and Kate Wiley, Educational Developer of the Centre for Academic Excellence.

The blog will be accessible on the EDI Website and the most recent blog post will always be featured on the homepage.

Do you have a topic you are interested in learning more about that you would like to be include in the blog?
