A message from Michele O’Keefe, Director, Athletics & Student Engagement:
I am thrilled to announce that Ali Weir has joined the Athletics & Student Engagement team as Manager, Student Engagement. Ali will begin her new role on December 6.
A familiar face to many, Ali brings with her nearly 12 years of experience at Niagara College. She has held roles within Career Services as Co-op Career and Employer Relations Consultant, focusing on Environmental and Horticultural students, and in Student Recruitment as Outreach Recruitment Coordinator. Prior to this, Ali’s first role at NC was Student Experience Coordinator and she is excited to be returning to the Student Engagement team. She also teaches within the School of Business Management and is Co-chair of the College’s 2023 United Way workplace campaign.
Ali is an alumna from NC’s Event Management program and holds an Honours’ Bachelor of Business Administration – concentrating in Human Resources and Accounting – from Brock University. She is also currently pursuing her Professional Master of Education with a focus in Educational Administration.
Ali will be an excellent fit on our team, leveraging her previous experience in student engagement, her knowledge of NC and her vision of the wholistic student experience, which will allow her to hit the ground running.
