A November 29 article from Niagara this Week reported on the re-opening of NC’s Benchmark restaurant.
The article quotes Victor Oliveira, Manager of Catering and Special Events, who is overseeing the front-of-house operations: “[Visits to the restaurant] stimulate learning opportunities. So the more people come, the more they (the students) learn, the better they get.”
Well-known Niagara chef Justin Downes who is leading NC’s team in the kitchen is also quoted in the article, noting the excitement around the restaurant’s re-opening: “Re-opening the restaurant has been amazing. Seeing the excitement with the students being engaged in another level of service coming out of Benchmark is very rewarding.”
