A Message from Craig Youdale, Dean, Culinary, Tourism and Beverage Studies:
I’m pleased to announce that Victor Oliveira is our new manager of Catering and Special Events.
Brazilian born and raised, Victor began his hospitality and hotel management career in Sao Paulo, in 2009. He moved to Canada in 2013 to obtain a diploma in Food and Beverage Management at George Brown College in Toronto.
Victor has worked at renowned institutions including Scaramouche, Sotto Sotto, Pizzeria Libretto, Backhouse, and Leaning Post Wines throughout his career.
Recently, he achieved French Wine Scholar and Certified Sommelier certifications.
As the manager, Catering and Special Events at Niagara College, Victor looks forward to passing down his knowledge and experiences to the next generation of hospitality professionals.
When Victor is not on duty, you’ll often find him in dusty corners of wine shops looking for a special forgotten bottle or skimming through vinyl stores in search of a rare Bossa Nova. He loves to cycle to clear his mind and spends most of his time trying to be the best dad and husband to his beautiful family.
