On August 25, the three Niagara dailies (the St. Catharines Standard, Niagara Falls Review and Welland Tribune) and Niagara this Week announced that Niagara College has received more than $800,000 from the province for pre-apprenticeship training programs.
In total, the college received $812,775, part of a $1.5-billion investment by the provincial government in the skilled trades. The investments are designed to attract, support and protect workers.
