We catch up with Community Integration through Co operative Education (CICE) graduate Mason Morasse to learn about his lifechanging experience at NC.
Tell us why you came to NC and how your dream has evolved?
I decided to come to NC when my mother passed away as she always loved school. I wanted to be able to make my life better and work on a better future for myself, for me and her.
Tell us your favourite non-academic NC memory
Being able to meet lots of amazing and interesting people here at the College and make new friends.
What is one thing you experienced at NC that you didn’t expect?
One thing I did not expect was how lifechanging this experience would be and how much fun my classes were.
Now that you’re starting your career, what tools did NC give you to set you apart from your peers?
Being able to do placements in different areas, preparing for interviews and learning what it takes to work in the real world.
What is your dream job? If you’ve already landed it, what is it?
My dream job is to be an IT support person and support others with computer-related things. I also want to continue learning more about computers and grow my knowledge.
What are you most looking forward to about becoming an NC Alumni?
Having the experience of being the first one in my family that has graduated from college and all the great memories I will carry with me.
