The purpose of this webinar is to raise awareness on some facts such as language discrimination, exclusionary bias and harmful expressions, promoting healthy language practices and values in Canadian workplaces.

Hosted by: Iván Barradas

 Learning objectives:

  • Understand and avoid using exclusionary, biased and harmful language
  • Apply an intersectional and anti-oppression lens to promote inclusive language
  • Challenge biases, stereotypes and assumptions to recognize the unique experiences of individuals and deserving- equity groups
  • Gain skills in communication, critical thinking and respectful relationship building

Audience/Level: This is an intermediate level webinar for individuals who want to learn and reflect on inclusive language practices.
