A message from Kathie Briggs, Director, Infrastructure & Network Services:
After 43 years with Niagara College, it is with mixed emotions that I announce that Sindy Ammendolia will retire at the end of June.
Sindy is an alumna of the BRTF program, joining the College immediately after graduation.
We will miss Sindy a great deal. She has been a vital member of Information Technology Services team and the “voice” of NC on our college switchboard. She has often been the first point of contact for the College and has represented NC’s caring and welcoming culture with every interaction.
You can imagine all the IT technology changes Sindy has witnessed over the last four decades, from working a switchboard “cord board” to now using a “softphone.” Her expert knowledge on college systems and operations have made her integral to both the smooth, daily operations of the phone system and the success of major, complex projects and system-wide upgrades. Sindy’s dedication and attention to detail are exemplary. Her care and knowledge of the college in assisting both internal and external callers have always been above and beyond.
While Sindy’s official last day is June 30, she will be taking vacation time beforehand.
To celebrate Sindy’s accomplishments and wish her a proper farewell, we hope that you will drop in on Wednesday May 10, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the SAC Boardroom at the Welland Campus. Cake and coffee will be served.
