NOTL Local: Niagara College’s BioBlitz offers insights on native species

On April 12, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Local and Thorold Today announced that NC is hosting its eighth annual Bioblitz – a free, family-friendly event where citizen scientists explore the campus grounds – a UNESCO-designated World Biosphere Reserve at the base of the Niagara escarpment – to identify and catalogue bugs, birds, amphibians, mammals and plants.

Taryn Wilkinson, Manager of Sustainability is quoted in the article: “We look forward to welcoming the local community into Niagara College’s living lab – the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake – for the eight annual Spring Bioblitz.”
