Starting on Feb.15, NC Libraries and Learning Commons will be launching its new ‘Quiet Study Hours’ pilot program at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
A recent survey found that 30% of respondents from the DJP Campus indicated a need for a quieter space for their studies. With midterm exams and final assignments right around the corner, the Library and Learning Commons is responding to this student need by implementing Quiet Study Hours between noon and 2 p.m., Monday to Friday.
During Quiet Study Hours, the LLC staff encourages students to eat food, take phone calls and play games at other locations on campus such as the Student Commons, cafeteria, and The Armoury.
