Thanks to Niagara College’s Recreation Therapy Program, 120 seniors in our community are feeling the Christmas Cheer this holiday season.
Recreation Therapy Program Coordinator, Christine Wilkinson, arranged for the College to partner with Stockings of Love – an initiative that provides full stockings to seniors living along or in long term care homes.
In total, the NC community filled 120 stockings for seniors in need in our community.
“I had the pleasure of handing off the 120 stockings to staff from Housing Services of Niagara Region who have identified seniors in their buildings that will be alone at Christmas,” said Wilkinson. “I would like to thank the college community for their generosity during this busy time of year. I know that we have made the holidays brighter for many seniors.”
