On the heels of NC Teaching Brewery’s successful showing at the Canada Beer Cup, Niagara College Brewmaster Professor Jon Downing spoke with Newstalk 610 CKTB’s Stephanie Vivier on November 11 during her show, The Drive with Steph Vivier.
Downing discusses his interesting journey in the beer industry from his early days helping his father brew beer at their home in England, opening breweries around the world including Ontario’s first brewpub in Welland and pitching the idea to create a program at Niagara College dedicated to training the next generation of brewers – NC and Downing launched the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program in 2010.
Downing also promotes the upcoming Project Brew Parkas ‘n’ Pints on December 10.
