On November 5, Knights women’s soccer and volleyball student-athlete Natasha Desjardins was interviewed on the Niagara Sports Report on Newstalk 610 CKTB.
Desjardins was interviewed on the heels of the women’s soccer team’s bronze medal win at the OCAA Championships (Oct. 30) – the first OCAA medal in the program’s history. The fifth-year student-athlete describes her style of play on the soccer field, noting that she was a calming and encouraging presence for her team this year. She also reflects on the team’s successful season and historic win, and gives a shout out to her teammate Sydney Sica, who was named the OCAA Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. Desjardins hopes to continue her successful final year of varsity sport at NC, as she turns her attention to the Knights Volleyball team this fall.
Desjardins completed NC’s Educational Assistant (2022) and Fitness and Health Promotion (2020) programs, and is currently completing her graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences in NC’s School of Community Services.
