Faculty and students from Niagara College’s Winery and Viticulture Technician program were featured in a CBC News segment about the impacts of climate change on the wine industry.
During the segment, NC Professor Gavin Robertson comments on how sustainable winemaking practices are now woven into the framework of the industry and the education for the next generation of winemakers. NC students Elissa Audrey Bristol and Priyanka Bhardi were also interviewed at the Teaching Winery – they comment on how climate change can affect the quality of the grapes and the overall production. Robertson and his students appear at the 1:28-minute mark.
