On August 12, Niagara College Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management student Aaron Grandguillot was a guest on The Tom McConnell Show on Newstalk 610 CKTB.
During the segment, McConnell asks Grandguillot about his award-winning beer “Lights Out,” which earned him a gold medal at this year’s U.S. Open College Beer Championship. Grandguillot describes his beer as an American porter (a dark beer) that is chocolatey and features a coffee flavour. He also comments on how he decided to pursue a second career in brewing with dreams of opening a brewery of his own one day.
NC’s Project Brew, which took place on August 13 at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus, is also promoted by Grandguillot at the end of the segment.
