TFC News, a global Filipino news channel and subsidiary of ABS-CBN News, featured a segment with Governor General Academic Medal winner Jonhel Ampil, who is originally from Philippines. Ampil graduated from NC’s Recreation Therapy program in June 2022 with a grade point average of 98.046 per cent, making her the top student from NC’s Class of 2022.
The segment, which was posted on the ABS-CBN News website on July 19, includes interviews with Ampil and her partner Ryan Lacson, who also graduated from the Recreation Therapy program this past June. Clips from Ampil’s convocation speech are also included in the segment.
