Message from Fiona Allan: New Associate Deans, Strategic Academic Projects Manager

A message from Fiona Allan, Vice President Academic:

I am very pleased to announce that Courtney Evers will join us as the interim Associate Dean in the School of Nursing & Personal Support Worker (PSW) Studies, and Jaclyn Frail will join us as the interim Associate Dean in the School of Community Services. Both roles will be effective as of July 4, 2022.

Courtney has taught extensively in the School’s Practical Nursing Program and Graduate Certificate Programs for eight years. Prior to joining NC she taught in McMaster University’s Nursing Programs and held the leadership position of Course Planner for the Level 2 Clinical Course.

Jaclyn Frail has been a full-time faculty member in the Recreation Therapy Program for eight years and has been nominated twice for Educator of the Year by Student Administrative Council. She also provides mentorship to new faculty as a facilitator for the College Educator Development Program (CEDP).

I am also very pleased to announce that Julie Samson will be joining the Office of the Vice President Academic as Strategic Academic Projects Manager effective July 4, 2022.

Julie will lead the development and implementation of several special academic projects of critical importance that have broad organizational impacts. She brings extensive post-secondary administrative experience, including academic business manager and academic quality compliance manager at NC. Prior to joining NC, she also held administrative roles in Human Resources and business development at other academic institutions.
