An announcement from David Atherton, Dean, Academic and Liberal Studies:
I am very pleased to announce that Rebecca Nicholls has accepted the position of Associate Dean, Workforce Development & Community Programs on an ongoing basis. Rebecca has provided immeasurable support and guidance in this portfolio since the fall of 2020 and most recently as the acting associate dean.
In this role, she will continue to provide strategic and operational direction for Community and Employment Services and our community programs within the portfolio including MPOWER, School College Work Initiative, Academic Upgrading, and employment focused contract and funded training.
As many of you know, Rebecca is an NC HR graduate and has held many roles in the College, most recently as the Manager, Community Employment Services and previously as an Employment and Job Development advisor, and part-time faculty. Under Rebecca’s leadership we continue to strengthen our relationships with our community and government stakeholders.
Please join me in congratulating Rebecca.
