On December 3, Education News Canada shared NC’s release announcing that the College was among the top winning cider producers at the 2021 U.S. Open Cider Championship. The College’s Cider 101 earned a gold medal in the competition’s Modern Cider – Dry category, while a small batch product called Les Marmitons Gastronomy Cider took home a silver in the Fruit and Berry Cider category. Overall, NC tied for ninth place at the competition, making it the only college and the only Canadian cider producer with a spot on the competition’s coveted Top 10 Cideries for 2021 list.
