A message from Shari Walsh, Associate Director, Student Engagement, Academic Advising & Career Services:
It is with mixed emotions that I share that Randy Conlon will be retiring on December 31.

Randy Conlon is retiring on December 31, 2021.
During his 30.5 years with Niagara College, Randy has been an integral part of many teams and has truly embodied the NC spirit. I would be remiss not to share all of the NC experiences that Randy has had throughout his career, as well as the many contributions that he has made to the NC community.
Randy started his NC journey as a student of the Journalism-Print program, graduating in 1989. During this time, he also played as a guard on the men’s basketball team from 1986-1987 and served as Student Administrative Council President from 1988-1989. Randy later joined the NC Support Staff team where he worked with the Marketing, Recruitment and Academic Advising teams, was a member of the NC Board of Governors in 1989 and served as an executive member on the Committee of Registrars, Admissions and Liaison Officers from 2002-2005. He also served as Part-time Instructor in the School of Liberal Arts and Science for 17 years and is currently Academic Advisor for Liberal Arts and Science, Justice and Fitness, Varsity Athletics.
Throughout these accomplishments, Randy also served as the Head Coach/Assistant Coach of the Knights men’s basketball team for 20 years, helping the team achieve two OCAA bronze medals, and was the Head Coach of the touch football team for 13 years, helping the team achieve six OCAA gold medals and six bronze medals. Alongside these incredible experiences, Randy was also inducted into the Niagara College Athletics Hall of Fame and the Student Administrative Council Hall of Fame in 2008, as well as the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2009.
For those who have had the benefit of working closely with Randy, you know how dedicated he is to student success and relationship building across all of the teams he has been a part of. Randy has contributed a great deal to the NC community and will be greatly missed.
Please join me in congratulating Randy on this exciting news and next chapter!
