In the face of unparalleled challenges, I’m incredibly proud of Niagara College faculty and staff for demonstrating true excellence this year. With Niagara Day upcoming, it’s once again time to recognize our colleagues for their outstanding work.
The deadline to nominate your colleagues for an Award of Excellence has been extended to Wednesday, September 29, and I encourage you to help us acknowledge those who have enriched college life and the student experience. If you have been considering nominating a colleague, you now have some extra time to do so.
Awards of Excellence are awarded annually to one employee from the following groups: Support Staff, Faculty, and Administrative Staff. For the first time, we have added a category for a Team award to recognize the incredible collaborations that have taken place this year.
A team is a group of two or more full- or part-time employees working in an office, department, school, or division. This could include a cross-functional team of staff or faculty who tackled a specific initiative, project, or event.
Award recipients are those who demonstrate excellence in their area of work, exemplify NC’s values and culture and a commitment to the NC Community.
Any full-time or part-time employee of Niagara College may nominate or second a candidate who is also a full-time or part-time employee.
The nomination form/criteria can be found here. This form is also available on the COE website along with an FAQ about the awards.
Nominations are to be submitted by e-mail to the President’s Office, c/o Awards of Excellence Committee at [email protected]. Please note the committee asks that all submissions be typed, not handwritten.
The nomination deadline is now Wednesday, September 29 at 4 p.m.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to recognize one of your colleagues! If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
I look forward to presenting our Awards of Excellence at Niagara Day on Thursday, October 28.
