The Aurora Armoury, home to the newest campus of NC’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute, recently picked up a global design award and The Aurora Banner and YorkRegion.com shared the news.
The building won the Architectural Design and Event Space category of the Liv Hospitality Design Awards, which honoured the building’s “interactive demonstration kitchen, which opens up onto a 200-person event space incorporating the armoury’s original post-and-beam construction, and the merging of an indoor-outdoor dining experience.”
The article also credits the success of the innovative space to the partnerships between Niagara College, the Town of Aurora and Gow Hastings Architects.
