With Niagara College students returning to campus and residence for the 2021 Fall Term, it is an important time to remind college employees of the support that exists for students impacted by sexual and gender-based violence.
Students in need of support, reporting options, informed decision-making process and resources can now contact the sexual violence and prevention response coordinator by email at [email protected].

Katlyn Smith is NC’s Sexual Violence Prevention & Response coordinator.
In January, NC’s Student Rights & Responsibilities Office welcomed Katlyn Smith as the new Sexual violence prevention & response coordinator. In her role, Kaytee employs a trauma informed and survivor centered approach to supporting students impacted by sexual violence. Kaytee is also responsible for awareness programming and initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of zero tolerance toward sexual violence.
Supporting our students is a college-wide effort. Faculty and staff are encouraged to reach out and refer students looking for a safe, supportive, inclusive space to assist them with immediate and future needs related to sexual and gender-based violence.
