Newstalk 610 CKTB noted Niagara College as one of the partners in a nature conservancy project in Pelham.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada, Trout Unlimited Canada, and Niagara College, have jointly completed surveying and planning for a $660,000 project to
NCC, Trout Unlimited Canada, and Niagara College have already completed initial surveying and planning and will begin work to streamline water flow through two artificial ponds this fall.
Shelby Knox writes, “warm water in the two ponds threatens the survival of coldwater species, like the trout in Twelve Mile Creek.”
The project work is tied to faculty and staff in NC’s Ecosystem Restoration program in the School of Environment and Horticulture.
