A message from Natasha Hannon, associate director, Educational Development, Centre for Academic Excellence:
I am very pleased to announce that Lynn O’Keeffe joined the Centre for Academic Excellence team as an instructional designer on July 26, 2021. Her role is funded through an eCampus Ontario Digital Capacity grant and Lynn will support a number of projects, including the development of an online accessibility hub.
Originally from Ireland, Lynn holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University College Cork. She has worked in both the public and private sectors internationally, having spent time in Australia before moving to Ontario in 2017. In her most recent role as education lead for Leading Edge Group, Lynn was responsible for managing online, in-class and public training programs, ensuring that students received high quality learning experiences. She worked alongside subject matter experts to create interactive online courses using tools like Storyline and Camtasia, coordinated quality reviews to ensure compliance with accessibility standards, and maintained programs and courses within a learning management system.
Lynn brings five years of instructional design experience to this role. She looks forward to working with Niagara College educators to develop digital learning materials and learning experiences that help achieve the desired goals.
Please join me in extending a heartfelt welcome to Lynn as she begins her new role at Niagara College. Lynn is a tremendous addition to the NC community and her expertise will expand our ability to support innovative, technology-enhanced learning.
A special thanks to Nadia Gugliotta, Marie Mesic, Nick Contant, Whit Ross and Jenn Martin for their contributions and input throughout the recruitment and interview process.
Lynn, we are very excited to welcome you to NC!
